About the service

The Wellbeing Hub at Preston Park (formally known as Preston Park Recovery Centre) provides a welcoming and supportive environment, in which people with mental health support needs can learn new skills and get involved in a variety of groups and activities. The Wellbeing Hub is part of the UOK Brighton & Hove network.

The Hub provides a welcoming and supportive environment in which people with mental health support needs can learn new skills and get involved in various social groups and activities.

The Hub is open seven days a week and is group focused. All clients must participate in groups to be able to access the service.

Alongside our group activities, we can offer up to 8 sessions of one-to-one focused coaching support. This is not the same as therapeutic counselling and is only available alongside group participation.

One-to-one support is time-limited, however, groups can be ongoing dependent on regular engagement.

The Hub has wheelchair access via a sloped drive to the rear door. There is also a ground-floor disabled access toilet. Please speak to staff about any access issues or questions.

Individual support

After referral to The Wellbeing Hub, our team of Recovery Workers provide individual support to help you develop your own personal plan to achieve your goals.

The Hub also provides access to a specialist employment service, a welfare benefits service and we can refer individuals onto other services too as appropriate.

Activities and Group Support

As well as individual support, we also offer a wide range of online and face-to-face activities and groups to support your mental health and wellbeing, such as:

  • Physical health classes in yoga
  • Tai chi
  • Quiong
  • Holistic health appointments for shiatsu and homeopathy
  • Creativity groups in art, craft, anti-stress colouring, and mixed media (clay, mosaic, felting)
  • Peer support group for voice hearers and/or people who see visions
  • Individual computer tuition

The Hub, either through virtual or physical means, is a great place to meet friends or get to know new people and build your confidence and self-esteem.
