Title: Chief Experience and Transformation Officer

In July 2024, Jo was appointed as our Chief Experience and Transformation Officer, working as part of our senior C-suite team. Previously, Jo was in the role of Director of People and Culture after joining Southdown in 2021.

Jo brings substantial experience in developing HR strategy and talent management to Southdown and has previously worked in a senior role reporting to the Board for the John Lewis Partnership, leading on culture, engagement and organisational effectiveness.

At Southdown, alongside senior colleagues, Jo leads on client and tenant experience and our embitions to fulfil our potential as Lead Provider and Sector Partner.  Jo’s area of responsibility recognises the link between employee satisfaction, client involvement and service quality, and the role of IT and Digital in enabling this.  Internal and external communication are seen as vital to this also.

Jo says, “I’m excited about having the chance to make a meaningful difference for everyone in Southdown. There are wonderful synergies between helping clients achieve fuller lives and doing the same for colleagues across Southdown. I believe if we look after each other we can do something extraordinary for our clients.”
