Housing Support Specialist

Working Hours – Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (4.30pm Fridays)

The Transition & Resettlement team works in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council’s Homeless services and other key agencies across the city as part of the local strategy to reduce homelessness.

We are looking for a motivated individual with the aptitude and attitude to support people with experience of homelessness and complex needs to move into and manage their own homes, successfully sustain their tenancies and prevent homelessness, and to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.

You will manage your own caseload across Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area, and support will be delivered either in the community or in people’s own homes.  You will be working as part of a team with an office based in central Brighton & Hove.

The successful candidates will have a dynamic approach to working with people who have experience of trauma, homelessness, and mental health support needs. Flexibility, resourcefulness and resilience are key to the role.

This is a varied role that gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of housing and support services, and best practice ways of working.
