Title: Board Member
Team: Board

Jonathan brings a deep commitment to promoting people’s rights and voices, alongside expertise in governance, leadership, and social care. As the founding Chief Executive of VoiceAbility, he grew the charity into one of the UK’s largest and most influential advocacy, rights and voice organisations – supporting positive changes in people’s lives, as well as in legislation, policy and practice.

Jonathan brings board-level and strategic experience, including from serving as the Chair of the Single Homeless Project (SHP), a leading organisation providing support and housing services. He was appointed by NICE to chair the development of service model guidance for people with learning disabilities whose behaviour is challenging.  Jonathan serves currently as the Chair of the Public Law Project (PLP), an impactful national legal charity dedicated to ensuring that the state acts fairly and lawfully.

Jonathan feels a strong alignment with Southdown’s values and purpose and was delighted to join the organisation’s board in 2025.
