Service Coordinator

Salary: £28,817 to £30,964 per year pro rata

Hours: 30 hours per week

Location: East Sussex

Closing Date: 06/11/2024

Job Description:

Southdown offers a competitive salary, generous car allowance, pension, employee assistance (EAP) and healthcare package plus a range of other benefits, including qualification to apply for a Blue Light Card and the Cycle to Work Scheme.

This role will support the Team Manager in running the Staying Well Eastbourne service, an innovative out-of-hours service providing support to people experiencing acute distress due to mental health difficulties. This psychologically informed service follows a crisis café model, which we deliver across East Sussex. The service is staffed by a mix of paid Recovery Advisors and Peer Workers.

We are looking to appoint a Service Coordinator to provide line management and supervision to the Peer Workers in our team, based in Eastbourne. The role will involve regular evening and weekend shifts, working alongside the team and coordinating the day-to-day running of the service. The Service Coordinator will liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the overall quality of the service and assist in meeting its stated objectives.

You will be closely supported by the Team Manager in your role and should have experience managing a team and delivering supervision to non-clinical staff.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services within the city. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience working with people with mental health needs, a good understanding of local NHS and other support services, and a high level of resilience with the ability to work autonomously.
